Steve Turkiewicz is the President/CEO of the Montana Bankers Association
(MBA) and BANCSERVE Inc.* The MBA is a trade association located in Helena
and has been representing Montana financial institutions since 1904. As
MBA President/CEO, Steve is the spokesperson for the Association Members to
the Montana Legislature, Congress, state elected officials and the news media.
Prior to MBA, Steve was Executive Vice President of the Montana Automobile
Dealers Association for 15 years. He was their spokesman before policymakers
and the media. MADA also provided a broad range of products and services to
their members.
Before MADA, Steve was an Investment Executive with D.A. Davidson & Co.,
a regional investment firm, for 6 years, Account Executive with Mountain
Bell for 4 years, Public Affairs Director for the Montana Association of
Counties for 2 years, and Project Director for the Montana State Commission
on Local Government for 3 years.
He is a Certified Association Executive and past president of the Montana
Society of Association Executives. He is a past president of the Montana
Council on Economic Education and continues to serve on its Executive Committee.
He currently serves as a member of the Administrative Committee for the
American Bankers Association's Government Relations Council.
Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the
University of Montana, received a Masters of Public Administration from
San Diego State University and completed the Graduate Banking Program at
the Pacific Coast Banking School.
He and his wife, Kim, have two adult
children and live in Helena.
*BANCSERVE is a for-profit subsidiary of MBA. It provides products
and services to banks in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming, including insurance,
educational workshops and information of interest to bankers. |
