Sam Gane

Sam Gane's career consisted of thirty five years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and its Helena Branch in research, planning, management and executive leadership.  For the last nine years Gane served as Vice President and Branch Manager in Helena.   Gane retired in 2007 after overseeing the downsizing of the Federal Reserve Bank in Helena which reduced Branch resources to about one half of their former size.

Gane has a BS degree in business/economics and an MA degree in economics, both from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.   In addition, he is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware and an executive leadership program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Sam has a National Ski Patrol certification, is the treasurer for the Great Divide Ski Patrol, and is President of the Homeowner's Association board of directors.  He is also a member of the United Way and an instructor for the American Institute of Banking.

Gane enjoys traveling, sailing, hunting, fishing, and he is a lifetime learner.
