Jon Chesbro is a member of the faculty in the Business and Information Technology Department at Montana Tech where he teaches courses in economics and finance. He came to Montana Tech in 2008 from College Station, Texas, where he worked as an associate economist for a consulting firm specializing in data analysis related to employment and compensation. He recently started his own consulting firm and is serving clients across the country from his office in Butte. e has a master's degree in economics from the University of Montana, and a bachelor of science in economics from Texas A&M University. He grew up in Missoula and graduated from Loyala Sacred Heart High School in 1992.
Mr. Chesbro is a member of the American Economics Association and the National Association of Forensic Economists. He is currently on the board of directors for the Butte Amateur Hockey Association and has just finished a second term on the board for the Southwest Montana Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. When in Texas, he served on the board for the Brazos-Burleson Chapter of Thrivent and was the director of a capital campaign for Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in College Station.
